Tree Care Internship

The tree care intern keeps trees alive by coordinating

tree watering at various sites in Long Beach.

$15/hr. stipend

April - September, 2022

Duties

  • Oversee scheduling of volunteer tree watering brigade on tree watering days

  • Serve as liaison with site contacts

  • Help recruit volunteers if there are not enough. 

  • Attend tree watering, providing training for new volunteers

  • Assist on planting days

Qualifications

  • Genuine love of trees and the environment

  • Extremely responsible -- the trees depend on you

  • Ability to work independently

  • Somewhat organized

  • Access to transportation to attend watering days
